The short storyCathy Cassinos-Carr is an award-winning writer who started in print publishing (newspapers, magazines) and later reluctantly joined the online journalism crowd. (Truth.) She now comfortably straddles the fence between both worlds. A lifelong music lover, Cathy made it her quest to write about music forever, and has done just that, including an 8-year stint as editor-in-chief at MUSIC ALIVE! magazine in New York. She also frequently writes about health, food, careers, and people, and sometimes bares her soul in essays. Though she considers Austin and NYC her true homes, she is currently based in her native Northern California, where she is a regular contributor to Sacramento magazine. Cathy has a B.A. in journalism (minor in music) and an M.A. in career counseling.
